Adobe and Yahoo! teams up to launch new advertising service within PDF documents
Adobe and Yahoo! teamed up today to launch Ads for Adobe PDF Powered by Yahoo! It is currently in its beta phase, the companies are still on the lookout on how it will be accepted in mainstream. This service allows publishers to include contextual advertisements within PDF documents and is available in an opt-in basis. By using this service, publishers expect to gain more revenues as their advertisements will not only be able to reach a wider range of qualified viewers but also because publishers will have an ability to track their ads performance as they would with online ads. Ads for Adobe PDF supported by Yahoo! supports PDF documents created through the current and earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat 8.
