Android phone supports a bunch of document formats, including PDF

NetworkWorld reports that alongside the apps you’d expect to find on a Google-designed phone, such as Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube and Gtalk, that you’ll also be able to read Word, PDF and Excel documents.

Looks like the Android is going to launch in late October for US users and U.K. users shortly afterwards via T-Mobile. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, I don’t see any clear/well-defined plans for shooting the phone out to the rest of the world other than the fairly nebulous — Q1.
