New version of TX Text Control to include PDF/A support

17 Oct 2008 | | No Comment

The Imaging Source, manufacturers of components for word processing and image processing, has announced that the next version of TX Text Control will include support for document conversion to PDF/A.

Developers will be able to integrate PDF/A conversion into their applications from industry standard file formats like Office Open XML (DOCX), MS Word (DOC) and Rich Text Format (RTF).

The ISO 19005-1:2005 standard defines a format for long-term electronic archiving of documents. This standard is becoming more and more important due to legal provisions and uniform requirements. Additionally, it enables software companies to promote a supported standard to create PDF documents.
