Cerience Debuts PDF Reader For BlackBerry Smartphones

6 Nov 2008 | | One Comment

Cerience has officially released the first commercial version of RepliGo Reader, a native PDF reader for BlackBerry smart phones. It’s available for immediate purchase at 29.95 USD per copy or alternatively a 10 day full functional trial version is available.

RepliGo Reader features include:

  • Native PDF Viewing: RepliGo Reader allows desktop-like viewing of native PDF documents and email attachments downloaded to the handset.
  • Standalone Application (no server component): RepliGo Reader does not require a server component or subscription to a service in order to render PDF documents on the device.
  • PDF Email Attachment Support on BlackBerry OS 4.5 or higher: BlackBerry devices with OS 4.5 or higher include a new “Download Attachment” feature which allows for storing PDF attachments to the device. RepliGo Reader can be used to display the PDF document.
  • Read View: RepliGo Reader provides a reading mode which wraps the text and graphics to fit the width of the screen, eliminating the need to scroll side-to-side when reading a document.
  • Text Search: Search across entire documents for specific words or phrases.
  • Easy Zoom Navigation: Simply press the trackball and you can change your zoom level to any amount. The “live zoom” feature provides instant feedback as you make adjustments.
  • Bookmarks Support: Large PDF documents commonly have bookmarks. RepliGo Reader allows you to navigate to any point in the document using these bookmarks.
  • Media Card Support: Documents can be loaded and displayed directly from the media card without requiring a wireless data connection, enabling permanent offline access to any PDF file.
