The standalone version of Enfocus’ PitStop Professional plug-in, PitStop Extreme, has been announced.

The most significant standout features are: that it does not require Adobe Acrobat; that it is PDF 1.7 compliant which allows a user to work with layers, shadows and transparencies; and that it is compliant with PDF/X and adheres to specifications of the Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG).
