An updated BeamReader revitalises the BlackBerry

With all of the recent attention on handheld devices being directed at the iPhone, Google’s Android and also Palm’s Pre. Those at ReadWriteWeb reckon you’re off the mark if you think that the BlackBerry is last year’s news.

BeamReader – an application designed for viewing PDF files, has been in play for a bit in beta. It’s now hit the big-time with the full commercial release at $19.99 USD. As well as viewing PDF files, you can also organise and view other standard office application file formats.
