Excel Software Releases DocProtect 1.0 For Mac And Windows

By Rowan Hanna on 15 January, 2009 | , No Comment

Excel Software has released DocProtect 1.0, an application for Mac and Windows computers which helps users protect PDF documents, Excel documents and other file types. According to the products press release:

DocProtect provides drag and drop protection to many document types on Mac OS X or Windows computers. The protected document becomes a single file application that presents the document on licensed computers while restricting features like copy, export and save. For spreadsheets and PDF files, first use Microsoft Excel or Adobe Acrobat to restrict features like copy, export or save. Now use DocProtect to wrap a protective license around the document. Use the QuickLicense application to configure a Trial, Product or Subscription license and define the activation process.

No evaluation version of DocProtect is available, however, a video demonstration can be viewed here.  The purchase price for a single user license on Windows or Mac OS X is $495 or alternatively you can buy a license for both platforms for $795.
