Foxit Unleashes new Firmware for eSlick

Fremont, Calif. – A provider of e-document technology for mobiles, desktop and on-demand platforms, Foxit Corporation today announced the release of Firmware 2.0 for its eReader device, eSlick.

With this new release, Foxit expands eSlick’s support for more reading formats. eSlick customers will now have the ability to view documents in ePub and eReader (PDB) in addition to earlier supported PDF and Text formats. The support for ePub and eReader now makes it possible to read books downloaded from any website supporting the above given formats.

The following features are included in Firmware 2.0 :-

  • Overall customer experience is enhanced in the latest version of eSlick.
  • Users can now view images in GIF, EMP, JPEG, and PNG formats.
  • One can also enter text with the help of virtual keyboard.
  • Text entering facility is necessary for unlocking documents that have password protection.
  • Folder option has also been added to simplify the large libraries.
  • Finally, Foxit has also added the bookmark option which makes it possible for the user to bookmark a certain page and return to the same at a later time.

By the end of November, all eSlick devices will come with the Firmware 2.0 pre-installed. Existing customers of eSlick can download the latest release on the eSlick’s page at www.foxitsoftware.com.
