Foxit IFilter 2.0 released by Foxit Corporation

Foxit Corporation, a solution provider for reading, creating, securing and managing PDF documents, today announced the release of Foxit IFilter 2.0. The new Foxit IFilter 2.0 comes with new features and functionality coupled with performance optimization.

IFilter 2.0 allow users to index PDF documents, extract properties and add configuration settings. It also offers the user the ability to choose filtered properties and output log levels to avail better performance for higher extraction efficiency. Properties that can be extracted using the application include attachments containing documents/annotations and file attributes. Lastly, IFilter 2.0 is optimized for multi-core processor-based servers and is up to 3 times faster than the previous release.

The new application is designed for helping users in indexing large amount of PDF documents and then carrying out a faster search for text within these documents. Those PDF documents can be email attachments, database records or other files.
