OverDrive, a distributor of eBooks and other digital content, announced a set of new digital content offerings which will increase the quality and usage of its library services. Overdrive is also allowing libraries to add their own DRM-free eBooks, interactive multimedia and streaming media to their “Virtual Branch” websites.

The newly announced features include Open eBooks, which includes DRM-free eBooks supporting EPUB and PDF. These new libraries will be compatible with any eBook reader or software which supports EPUB and PDF. OverDrive will include the titles from big publishing houses into its libraries.

The other newly added features include OverDrive Dashboard, Content Reserve Plus, LibraryBIN and Library eBook Accessibility Program (LEAP)
