Scan and convert to PDF with an iPhone App

29 Mar 2010 | | No Comment

Cortado, a provider of mobile computing solutions, announced an enhanced version of Cortado Workplace, its free iPhone business application. This includes a range of additional functions including Scan-to-PDF. It also comes with 1 GB of online storage space, cloud printing functions and the ability to scan and copy documents.

The new version allows users to scan documents using the iPhone camera and automatically converts the images into a PDF. The PDF file can then be saved to the online storage space, sent as an e-mail attachment, or printed to a local or network printer.

The other key features of Cortado Workplace include:

  • 1 GB password-protected online storage space for documents and files
  • Workplace File Manager on the iPhone for mobile file access to files stored online or locally on the iPhone
  • Cloud printing allowing users to print files directly from the iPhone to any of the reachable printers – no additional software such as printer drivers required
  • Web explorer to manage the folders and files from the iPhone

The Cortado Workplace runs on iPhone and iPod Touch with iPhone OS 3.0.
