pdfaPilot 2.2 with OpenOffice-to-PDF conversion

14 May 2010 | | No Comment

callas software, a developer of PDF solutions, announced a newer version 2.2 of pdfaPilot, its PDF/A creation software. pdfaPilot 2.2 supports the conversion of OpenOffice documents into PDF/A.

The additional new features include:

  • Supports other formats which can be processed using open-source office software. pdfaPilot automatically fixes any errors that may occur while converting OpenOffice documents into PDF/A files
  • Enhanced font replacement for users to retrospectively embed font types that are no longer available in a PDF/A file

pdfaPilot 2.2 will allow callas software to expand its territory into Linux and Solaris platform where users could now produce regulation-compliant PDF/A files from their documents on a non-Microsoft environment.
