SmartSoft LLC, a provider of PDF solutions, announced a major update to Smart PDF Converter, its flagship desktop-based application for converting PDF documents into commonly used editable formats. The latest version provides additional security features and improved user interface with additional capabilities.

The key updates to new version includes:

Split PDF – Allows users to split PDF documents into single pages or range of pages
Merge PDF – Allows users to merge several documents or parts of documents into one single PDF file
Remove Pages – Allows for particular pages to be removed from a PDF document
Insert Pages - Allows pages from one PDF document to be inserted into another PDF document
Extract PDF – Allows pages from a PDF document to be extracted into another PDF document
Set Password – Allows users to set a password on PDF documents
Set Permissions – Allows users to enable usage permissions on PDF documents, such as restrictions on Print, Copy, etc
Encrypt PDF – Allows to set different encryption levels for PDF documents
Decrypt PDF – Allows users to remove the encryption from a PDF document
