Google to add PDF support to Chrome browser

18 Jun 2010 | | No Comment

Google announced that it will add PDF support in Chromium, the open-source project which delivers the Chrome browser, which will enable users to seamlessly navigate PDF files.

Google has promised that user experience while navigating PDF files would be no different than the same interactions with web pages and enable smooth working while zooming and searching.

In regard to security, PDF files would be subjected to same security measures that any other web page undergoes in Chrome.

A developer-copy (unstable version) of Chrome with PDF support is available from Early Access Release Channels at http://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel
