Apple released updated iBooks with improved PDF performance

Apple Inc. has released an updated version 1.1.1 of iBooks, its iOS software for reading e-books on iPad, iPhone and iPod devices. The new version has improved PDF performance and includes several improvements and fixes to existing bugs in iBooks.

The new version of iBooks includes the ability to view e-books which include video and audio, ability to double-tap images for viewing in greater details, an efficient look-up for the definition of words within an e-book and greatly improved performance while viewing PDF e-books.
