FUJIFILM to demonstrate its Workflow XMF software
FUJIFILM, a leading provider of digital products and services, announced that it will demonstrate a series of software solutions, including Workflow XMF, at North American GRAPH EXPO 2010. Workflow XMF is a PDF workflow tool aimed at increasing productivity, quality and efficiency.
Workflow XMF software has been developed to target Printers and assist them to meet the challenges of shorter print runs, increasingly complex jobs and quick turn-arounds. Workflow XMF enables the cross-media compatibility between digital and offset equipment in order to switch jobs from one printer to another.
Workflow XMF preserves the PDF content throughout the workflow and requires no internal conversions or file “flattening” for job processing. Workflow XMF is built on a native JDF architecture and it uses Adobe PDF Print Engine to achieve high RIP speed. Workflow XMF is built on open-standards and will enable compatibility with upcoming products in this sector.
FUJIFILM will also demonstrate Rampage Systems’ prepress workflow for real-world automation on offset and digital devices. Rampage is also an open-standards based system that offers raster and vector workflows. Rampage employs a JDF-compatible PDF Trap Engine for auto-trapping flattened or unflattened PDF files with an aim to reduce labor costs and offers re-usable workflows.
