Foxit reassured its customers that its PDF reader products are virus free, and also not vulnerable to malicious PDF attacks. After extensive testing by AVG and Foxit, the problem was found to be a definition error within the AVG software.

The company said Foxit taps into the growing demand for eBooks by partnering with Fictionwise, enabling eSlick users to read eBooks in the eReader format. The eReader format is supported by eSlick’s version 2.0 firmware.

I recently interviewed Foxit CEO Eugene Y. Xiong about the upcoming release of Foxit’s eSlick Reader — which we first covered back in December, 2008.
A quick recap: the eSlick Reader is an e-reading device and competitor to Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader, amongst others.
