Years ago when we used to talk about PDF as being the most prominent document format, we’d always have to add a quick, under-the-breath, “de-facto standard”. But PDF has finally matured. It is no longer a de-facto standard used when and why it seemed appropriate. Nope, PDF is a big boy now.

The PDF/A Competence Center has announced that the third annual PDF/A conference will be held between June 17-19 2009 in the Kosmos in Berlin. The conference will include technical presentations by international experts, tracks for various PDF/A topics and areas of interest as well as pre-conference workshops for practical applications of PDF/A.
